About me

When I'm not working or learning, you might catch me teeing it up at the golf course, taking photos with my camera, or just taking a nice afternoon nap.

A little bit about me:

I'm a Christian! This is a fundamental part of who I am, and the hope that I have for the future. More on my beliefs

I'm the lucky husband of Meredith (Berg) as of October 15, 2005. What a great day! We recently moved into our first home in the Laurelwood area of Waterloo.

I'm a fairly mathematical person. I enjoy plugging away at things that require a certain amount of mathematical intuition.

I enjoy music -- listening and creating. In high school I learned to play the flute, which is a great instrument, but I tend to play the piano more as my creative outlet. While I'm itching to learn some new instruments, what I'd really love is to get an analog-to-digital converter and start playing with some simple recording.

I've always found myself interested in physiology. Aside from enjoying memorization, I am intrigued by how the human body functions. Lifting weights and exercise in general gives me a chance to keep learning.

I'm intrigued by programming language design. While this is a relatively new thing for me, I'm craving for time to explore this area (masters?), and excited by the possibilities.

During summer/fall 2006 I really enjoyed taking a ground school course at the KW airport. Hopefully within a couple of years I'll start flying lessons, and until then, learning with MS Flight Simulator. I've discovered the joy of flying! I'm hooked!

When I was in high school I discovered the joy of a good RTS, or real-time-strategy game. Playing these games online makes for hours of fun. My favorites were Warcraft II and Starcraft. Starcraft II is just around the horizon -- oh oh. During the last couple of years I've also had fun with the Xbox 360.

In 2006 I decided I'd create a list of 99 things I'd like to do. (I have heard many people say that this is a worthwhile thing to do) Here's my list, which I have enjoyed creating and working at.
