Walk + Run = Fun!
Something that I discovered this week is the joy of going for a light jog, but taking the opportunity to stop and walk lots, too. What a great way to ease back into jogging. Instead of getting home with tight calf muscles, sore feet, and my energy level zapped, I came home feeling energized and strong! :)
The Running Room advocates this kind of strategy for beginning runners, which seems like a very wise idea. |
