Beliefs : Mankind's fallen natureI believe that people have free will. [more]I believe in good and evil. [more] I believe that, because people have free will, and because they/we have chosen to depart from the Will of God, that we are thus fallen creatures. This concept is highly theological, and is one of the major themes of the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Bible: Mankind was not created evil by nature, but at a specific point in time we crossed the great divide and exercised our free will to make a key, symbolic decision that opposed God's will. This opposition to God's will eternally changed mankind's status with God. An analogy would be to think of this as spiritual physics. Just like an apple falls due to gravity, opposing God's will acts as a cause and effect trigger, casting a created being to a fallen status. Likewise, the Bible records Satan's rebellion against God, which triggered his fall.
