Google does public transit?May 21, 2008
 Meredith and I were just doing some trip planning for Zurich Switzerland, when I noticed a Public Transit link in Google Maps. Sure enough, clicking it redraws your route to indicate what portions you need to walk and where to go to catch the nearest bus or train. Brilliant! Sharks with frikin' lasers on their foreheads!

Ok, so this post isn't really about sharks, it's about planes and lasers. I first read about this plane a year or so ago, but it sounds like they're getting closer to having it completed. We're definitely living in the future.

The Last Sin Eater

This weekend we watched The Last Sin Eater down at the cottage. It's an interesting movie, based on a novel, about an ancient practice brought to North America by Welsh settlers. It doesn't really have a "mainstream" feel to it -- it's a bit low budget -- but I found it to be a worthwhile watch.
